Primary responsibilities of the candidates include (but not limited to):

  • − Create and maintain relationships with local governments, not-profit agencies, legislators, and county planners.
  • − Assist communities in the development of plans for funding requests and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • − Prepare and develop state, federal, and/or other grant applications based on local needs.
  • − Assist with coordinating Regional Forums.
  • − Build a local network of resourceful stakeholders and partners that will take ownership of ensuring community stability.

Preferred qualifications/skills:

  • − Experience in any of the following, municipal governance, downtown revitalization, Elm Street, higher education, nonprofits, and/or media.
  • − Self-starter/Entrepreneurial.
  • − Previous grant writing experience.
  • − Proficient public speaking, presentation and writing skill.
  • − Interpersonal communication, collaboration, and teambuilding skills.
  • − Proven track record of relationship building.
  • − Knowledge of state/federal government agencies and grants.
  • − Excellent time management skills.
  • − Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Opportunity: Principal Transportation Planner

Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000

Primary responsibilities include:

  • – Preparing plans and programs, such as the Long-Range Transportation Plan, Transportation Improvement Program, Unified Planning Work Program, Public Participation Plan, Coordinated Transit Plan, and Title VI Program.
  • – Preparing scopes of work for transportation studies and plans.
  • – Analyzing transportation, demographic, economic, land use, and related data.
  • – Presenting to boards, committees, commissions, and at public meetings.
  • – Providing technical assistance and grant application support to local project sponsors.
  • – Responding to requests for information, data, and technical reports from state, federal, and
    local agencies.
  • – Preparing progress reports and adhering to regulations and guidelines required by funding
    sources.

Required qualifications/skills:

  • – Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Engineering, Geography, Public Administration, Public
    Policy, or a closely related field.
  • – Five to seven years of progressively responsible planning experience.
  • – Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation laws, funding sources, processes, policies, and regulations.
  • – Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • – Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • – Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • – Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred qualifications/skills:

  • – AICP certification or PE license.
  • – ArcGIS.

Job Opportunity: Payroll Specialist (Part-time)

Primary responsibilities of the candidate include:

  • • Collection of timesheets for bi-weekly payroll
  • • Reviewing timesheets for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
  • • Data entry of timesheet information into payroll system
  • • Entering payroll changes-tax rates, pay adjustments, benefits, direct deposits, etc. as needed
  • • Prepare bi-weekly payroll and payroll reconciliation reports
  • • Prepare retirement plan reports-403b & 457b
  • • Review for accuracy, edit as needed, import, and post the payroll journal entry
  • • Computation and posting of accrued payroll entries
  • • Review payroll annual & quarterly reports prepared by 3rd party payroll provider
  • • Submit or enter 3rd party sick pay on a timely basis
  • • File annual reporting forms 1094C/1095C and forms 1099NEC/MISC as required
  • • Assist Fiscal Controller with collection of payroll data for grant reports and any audits or grant monitoring
  • • Additional duties as deemed necessary

Required qualifications/skills:

  • • 2-3 years’ experience preparing large payrolls (over 30 employees) associates degree a plus
  • • Knowledge of bookkeeping for payroll and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), governmental/ non-profit experience a plus
  • • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • • Data entry, multitasking, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • • Ability to meet deadlines
  • • Proficient with Microsoft Office specifically excel
