Community Capacity Coordinator
2yr grant-funded position with the potential to extend

Primary responsibilities of the candidates include (but not limited to):
- • Lead and assist communities in the development of plans for funding requests to improve their respective community’s quality of life.
- • Coordinate and execute the preparation and development of state, federal, and/or other grant applications based on county’s needs.
- • Coordinate potential project partners, funding, and other resources to develop project scopes and funding plans.
- • Provide technical assistance including grant writing, planning/coordination, project development, program and project support, community coordination, funding strategy development, and meeting facilitation as they relate to potential funding proposals; Work with multiple programs at SEDA-COG to develop projects and grant applications.
- • Assist with organizing and coordinating Regional Forums to help determine priority projects.
- • Build an effective network of resourceful stakeholders and partners that will take ownership of ensuring community stability and prosperity.
Required qualifications/skills:
- • Bachelor’s degree in public administration or a relevant field.
- • 3-5 years of grant writing experience
- • 3-5 years of local government or public funding administration experience
- • Strong public speaking, presentation, and writing skills.
- • Understanding of construction and public infrastructure process.
- • Interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
- • Knowledge of state/federal government, agencies, and grants.
- • Excellent time management skills.
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred qualifications/skills:
- • Course work in government administration, and/or construction management
