Danville Borough proposes to use Community Development Block Grant funds to procure an engineer for the design and construction supervision of the installation and/or reconstruction of approximately 24-30 curb ramps on Ferry, Church and Pine Streets in Danville, PA. The Borough is requesting quotes for the purchase of these services, which include all necessary design and specifications for the bidding of and contracting for the Danville Curb Cut Reconstruction project.  Complete quote details, including the required quote format, may be obtained by contacting:

Quotes will be accepted until March 4, 2022 prevailing time, 10:00 a.m., at which time they will be publicly opened at the Danville Borough Building, 463 Mill Street, Danville, PA 17821.  Quotes that are faxed or e-mailed cannot be accepted. Quotes shall be on the forms required, including the attached “Standard Estimate,” be sealed and clearly marked on the outside, “Engineering Services Quote,” and submitted to:

Job Opportunity: Energy Installation Technician

Starting Salary $33,600

Primary responsibilities of the candidate include:

  • Identifying the amount of energy lost in a household.
  • Advising customers on home energy conservation practices.
  • Ability to apply different types of insulation in confined areas such as attics/crawl spaces.
  • Installing and/or sealing windows.
  • Inspect equipment such as furnaces to ensure proper operation.
  • Basic carpentry tasks
  • Ability to perform work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Maintaining inventory and tools.
  • Ability to travel daily within our seven-county territory.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Required qualifications/skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • The candidate must have a valid PA’s driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • The candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, OSHA, and Department of Energy certifications within six months of hire.

Preferred qualifications/skills

  • Construction, electrical, plumbing, and furnace experience preferred but not required.

SEDA-COG recently welcomed Danielle Rippon as a Program Analyst in their Housing Rehabilitation Program.


Rippon has over fifteen years of experience providing administrative support, managing client data, and supervising accounts payable. She was previously an Administrative Assistant for Shield HealthCare in Valencia, CA. She was also the Electronic Data Lead for DiscoverReady. Rippon is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area School District.
