Employment: Janitor/Maintenance Worker

This position will require an individual capable of maintaining one elderly housing apartment building in Dalmatia PA. The successful applicant will be able to work without direct supervision and willing to work flexible hours, approximately 12-14 per week. The work week will be Monday through Friday with some evening and weekend hours on occasion. The evening work will consist of responding to pages or emergency calls (i.e. lock-outs from apartments, no heat, water leaks, assisting with fire drills, etc.). The weekend work will be primarily to assist occupants during move-ins and move-outs.

The maintenance work will consist of general maintenance: painting, testing the emergency lights, and other minor repairs to the common areas, apartments, and building grounds. Maintenance personnel will also be required to be familiar with the building fire alarm and security system, emergency lighting system, and the heating and hot water systems. This is a general list, and there will be other duties required. The list will be modified to meet the demands of the building/tenant needs.
