Request for Proposals – Ant Infestation

This Request for Proposal is for Carpenter Ant Infestation Treatment services at the SEDA Foundation Inc.’s warehouse located at 201 Furnace Road, Lewisburg, PA, 17837. The warehouse is approx. two thousand four hundred (2,400) sq. ft. and contains one office and has a second-floor loft area which is approx. one thousand two hundred (1,200) additional sq. ft.

Services shall include the following:

  1. 1. Treatment to eradicate the Carpenter Ant Infestation in the warehouse (on-going services to control future infestations have been solicitated for under separate cover)
  2. 2. Please include a brief description of the proposed treatment plan in the appropriate space provided on the proposal form (if the area provided for the description of the proposed treatment plan does not provide sufficient space to explain the full extent of the treatment services, the back of the proposal form may also be used)
  3. 3. Services shall be performed during SEDA Foundation Inc.’s normal business hours which are between the hours of 6:30 am and 2:00 pm Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays)

 

Request for Proposal – Pest Control Service

This Request for Proposal is for Pest Control services at the SEDA Foundation Inc.’s office building and warehouse located at 201 Furnace Road, Lewisburg, PA, 17837. The office building is approx. twenty-one thousand (21,000) sq. ft. containing approx. sixty-five (65) offices, three (3) conference rooms, ten (10) restrooms, various closets, a lobby and a basement containing an approx. additional fourteen (14) rooms of various sizes. The warehouse is approx. two thousand four hundred (2,400) sq. ft. and contains one office and has a second-floor loft area which is approx. one thousand two hundred (1,200) additional sq. ft.

Services shall include the following:

  1. 1. Interior treatment for mice, rats, cockroaches, and pavement ants, one (1) time per month for both the office building and warehouse.
  2. 2. Exterior treatment for spiders, three (3) times per year (in May, July, and September) for both the office building and warehouse.
  3. 3. Services shall be performed during SEDA Foundation Inc.’s normal business hours which are between the hours of 6:30 am and 2:00 pm Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays)

 

SEDA-COG welcomes employees

SEDA-Council of Governments (SEDA-COG) welcomed employees in August.

Jamie Shrawder returned to SEDA-COG’s Community Development program as project coordinator on Aug. 17. She previously worked for SEDA-COG’s Joint Rail Authority in 2004 and transferred to SEDA-COG’s Community Development program in 2008 where she worked until 2016 as senior program analyst.

Shrawder has 15 years of experience, working in administration, financial management, contracting, marketing, and communications. Her experience includes administrator of governmental affairs for Danville Borough, township manager for East Buffalo Township, and secretary for Turbotville Borough, among other positions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife & Fisheries Science from Pennsylvania State University.

Michael Morrison joined SEDA-COG’s Business Finance department on Aug. 31 as a loan officer. He brings a strong sales and management background with a passion for establishing and developing business and personal relationships.

Morrison was a business development officer at First National Bank of Pennsylvania; the dual branch manager at Santander Bank; and account manager/director of media buying at Gregory Welteroth Advertising. He attended Pennsylvania College of Technology for Business Administration and Accounting.

Bloomsburg East Street railroad crossing work to resume

BLOOMSBURG – East Street’s railroad grade crossing construction is now scheduled for later this month.

East Street/State Route 487 adjacent to State Route 11 will close at 8 a.m. Sept. 18 and reopen at 8 a.m. Sept. 23. A detour will be in place.

Jannotti Rail Consulting Inc. of Russell is the track engineer and Chesapeake Thermite Welding of Virginia is the contractor. The SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority (JRA) owns the track and North Shore Railroad is the operator.

The SEDA-COG JRA was formed in 1983 by the forward-looking efforts of its eight member counties to save rail lines and service abandoned by Conrail. The JRA’s public-private partnership was recognized by the World Bank as a model for public-private partnerships to stimulate rural economic development.
