Business Law: http://business.usa.gov/  This site consolidates and indexes in one central location, links to credible sources of information on 39 areas of general interest ranging from the most basic topics, such as licenses and permits, to highly specialized topics, such as e-commerce and exporting. 

 

Consensus Economics   www.consensuseconomics.com  This survey organization polls over 700 economists each month to obtain their forecasts and views for over 70 countries.
 

Export Administration Regulations: www.access.gpo.gov/bis/ear/ear_data.html  This is the database of the EAR maintained by the Government Printing Office.

 

Federal Agencies Database:  www.gpoaccess.gov/index.html A great resoursce for questions on export licenses, export/import regulations, and customs. 

Foreign Agricultural Service: www.fas.usda.gov/ The USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service serves U.S. agriculture's international interests by expanding export opportunities for agriculture, fish, and forest products, and promoting world food security. This site has great info on countries, commodities, news, trade policy, and trade events.

Global Technology Network: www.usgtn.net  This program is designed to assist small and medium sized firms build international business partnerships. GTN is operated by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to promote development through trade and technology transfer.

  

(NAICS) North American Industry Classification System: www.census.gov/epcd/www/naics.html  The NAICS has replaced the U.S. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system.  Find your product classification here.

 

Overseas Private Investment Corp.: www.opic.gov/ OPIC is an independent U.S. Government agency that assists American investors in 140 emerging economies around the world. Their mission is to promote overseas investment and reduce the associated risks: financing of businesses through loans and guarantees, supporting private investment funds, insuring investments against political risks, and informing the American business community of opportunities.

U. S. Department Of State:  www.state.gov  This website offers information for travelers including passport information, tips for US citizens traveling abroad, travel warnings, and doctors and hospitals abroad.

U.S. International Trade Administration: www.ita.doc.gov  This site is the largest single government source of international trade information on the web.

U.S.A. Trade:  www.usatradeonline.gov  This site delivers the most current U.S. merchandise trade data available within minutes of its release.

 

U.S. Trade and Development Agency:  www.ustda.gov/ The U.S. TDA assists in the creation of jobs for Americans by helping U.S. businesses pursue overseas business opportunities. Through the funding of feasibility studies, orientation visits, specialized training grants, business workshops and various forms of technical assistance, this agency helps American businesses compete for infrastructure, and industrial projects in middle-income and developing countries.

U.S. Department of the Treasury: http://www.ustreas.gov/ The Treasury Department is the executive agency responsible for promoting economic prosperity and ensuring the financial security of the United States and their site contains vaulable information for exporters.

 

Office of Foreign Assets Control: www.ustreas.gov/ofac This site provides the latest information on export restrictions to countries.
